Stained Glass

What an ace experience- my birthday present- a stained glass workshop. And only 3/4 of us cut ourselves! Our teacher, Gordon, was magic and very patient, taking us from design to cutting to leading and finally to soldering. Claie went tropical, Amanda went traditional, Rads went sunburst and I went curvy. He's left with the rubbish job of cementing our pieces to finish them off. Took this photo 5 minutes after arrival, with the morning sun streaming through the workshop window.
I was nakered after it though- lots of concentration to learn the techniques and trying to do ourselves justice. So I wasn't particularly in the mood to go to the Enchanted Forest at Crathes, and shuffle around with hundreds of others in the cold and dark in an attempt to give our children a worthy and magical experience to remember. But as Floss said: "It could have been worse wife- we could have paid for the tickets ourselves."
