Goodbye Old Faithful

So i finally say goodbye to my old ford today. It did let me down for the first time ever, when it wouldn't start this morning. Luckily for us, Bill and Irene had some jump leads so helped us get going. After a frantic trip across York we finally dropped it off at we buy any car.

It makes me sad to see it go, and i spent some time today thinking about mum and when she used to drive it in the week. I miss her.

There was a lovely cat in the office and promptly sat on Carl's lap. He seemed to like it and said later on that he is definitely up for us getting one! I do hope that he can tolerate the cats we're off to see next week and maybe we can then get on the waiting list for one.

Had a nice chat to dad this evening after tidying the house. He's coming for dinner tomorrow and has boxed up all of mums cooking magazines, it will be strange going through them without her.

Spoke to a number of family members today and everyone seems to be going through tough times. So I am sending lots of love and good thoughts out to the universe for everyone who needs to know someone is thinking about them.
