Some textiley things in my room which always cheer me up :)
Spent the whole day waiting for it to stop pouring... it didn't. It's quite depressing when you don't get out all day. I will have to go for a walk tomorrow no matter what.

On a brighter note, I made the best chicken ever today. I normally don't eat too much chicken as I hate it when it's dry and I'm terrified to under cook it. However, I decided to trust mum with one of her staple dishes - Chicken Paillard.

All I did was put a chicken breast in a freezer bag, bash it with a wooden spoon on both sides (don't have a tenderiser) until it was pretty flat. I then put it in a dish and marinaded it in olive oil, lemon juice (from a bottle!) and salt and pepper. I left it in the fridge for a couple of hours (turned it over half way). Then got the pan to a high heat and dry fried it. Served with roasted veggies, but salad also works.
