PINKTOBER 17 - PUT ON YOUR DANCING SHOES!
Sometimes there are advantages to there not being many staff around in shops! I popped into Debenhams to see if the Estée Lauder counter had any pink ribbons and found lots but that was about all there was - no pink display only a few leaflets about breast cancer behind the ribbon box - a very poor show really - and no-one even came over to speak to me when I was obviously interested.
However, it is only fair to recognise that since the Estée Lauder Companies Breast Cancer Campaign was founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1992, it has raised more than $76 million globally with more than $62 million funding 250 medical research grants through the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Anyway, I digress - I saw these smart, pink and very sparkly Roland Cartier dancing shoes, moved things around a little, took out the inners from the shoes, put a ribbon on the front of both - and hey presto, another Blip in the bag - or should that be “in the shoebox”? There was no shop assistant in sight - so for those who worry about me “getting nicked” for tampering with displays, fret not, and besides, whoever would suspect a little old lady who can just about hobble along - after all, what use would she have for sparkly pink dancing shoes like this? They obviously don't know me!! ;-)
