Smooth Martian Gewürtztaminer

I had always wanted to use the 'Mars' effect in photogene, but the little red ones hadn't given me permission until now. Tonight they landed, in a heavy shower of rain, and advised me without words to use the Mars filter, and the smooth one, on a glass of Gewürtztraminer (Sweet-ish German wine) that they had lobbed into the fridge.

They then had a go at MY jigsaw puzzle which they messed up totally (because Martian jigsaws are different, apparently) before lying down and consuming a meal of dried pasta, fairy washing powder and cochineal. Next, they communicated to me that I was too far-out for their purposes, and left, attempting to take Bomble. He put up a brave fight, because it was raining even harder and the space ship was parked outside the Crown and Sceptre, some 500 yards away, past the Dog's house. In the end they took a packet of wet wipes and a mop instead.

From this, I deduce that Martians are quite keen on cleaning. Oh dear, another holiday destination crossed off the list...
