Recording at Metroplolis

There is an amazing studio in Chiswick London called Metropolis, it’s in an incredible building which used to be a power station, the list of incredible artists and musicians have walked through these hallowed studios is extraordinary.
I have been lucky enough to record there several times over the years and it’s always a pleasure.
Today I was recording vocals for legendary radio DJ Steve Facey, what a lovely man he is, our mutual friend Kevin Reynolds put us both together, we had the pleasure of working with Grammy award winning engineer Liam Nolan (Adele 25 etc) and assistant engineer Daryl Johnson, lovely people and so easy to work with.
The session was six hours long, I was recording two versions of the same song, there were a lot of harmonies and backing vocals and it was a tall order, I wondered if we would finish at one point but we did!
