Lady C

A lady returned this to the Library today. Apparently she found it down the back of a bookcase whilst decorating. It's the 1960 edition, the one that sparked the famous Obscenity Trial, one of the bestselling novels of the early 60's in England and presumably one of the most-borrowed library books. Last date-stamped October 1965, this particular edition has long since been taken off the catalogue. If I were cleverer, I'd have written this entry as a parody of the Philip Larkin poem...
