Speedwell
A cool and quiet ride on to work again. Not much sunshine. Very dark.
During the morning the clouds disperse, and the sun shines down. There are very few flowers around. Just about visible, this is speedwell, a ground hogging plant with very small (about 4mm or smaller across) blue / white flowers. Around the corner, the smaller trees are also starting to lose their green colour.
The clouds continue to disperse in the afternoon, and it is a very bright sunny ride home. As I cycle along the canal, I am glad that I wore my sunglasses. A bit of a hassle at a busy crossroads, where, because of a power failure in the area, the traffic lights have stopped working. But everyone treats it as a roundabout, and people go through without much hassle. Speed well home.
