Game Night
This evening was not for the faint hearted or vegetarians.
So six of us meat eaters went to a game and wine evening at a pub in Richmond. The butcher explained how the animals are reared and killed and then showed us how to skin and joint various game birds and a whole dear. Admittedly Bambi with fur on to start was a bit sad, but I like venison. We ate pigeon breast and partridge with paired wines and poached pear and rum and raisin ice cream to follow. A great night.
