Fallen Leaves

Friday, and the first Friday back to routine for Cosmo and myself since we both got back from holiday. It was quite cloudy at first but the cloud soon cleared up and so we were able to go for a walk in the wood.

Cosmo must have enjoyed the sunshine and being back in the wood, she has been on her best behaviour all day. We had a second walk in the afternoon but did not go back to the wood. This morning I did wonder if we could do our walk in the opposite direction to usual, generally we follow an approximately anti clockwise direction. However Cosmo likes to stick to her established routine, and I thought going the other way round might lead to a misunderstanding.

I think there are now more leaves on the ground than there are in the trees. However enough leaves are still on the trees to pick up some colour. In this image I have grossly exaggerated the colour in the trees. There is still some gold, but nothing like it appears here.
