Kendal's

Sad news today that Manchester's House of Fraser store - known locally as "Kendal's" - is to close in the new year. The magnificent building on Deansgate was purpose-built for Kendal Milne's in 1939. It is difficult to see what other use it could have without being divided into smaller units. Naturally, a campaign has started to keep it from closure.
