Short-eared Owl

Today we took the car to the garage for a service and  MOT tomorrow. An advantage of this, other than the obvious legality of getting an MOT, is that it takes us past a field which seems to be the regular haunt of this owl.
Always impressive, this one decided to ignore traffic and stay perched on a post by the road. The downside was I had to take the photo through our windscreen which was its traditionally filthy self.
