Can't remember the name for flower Friday!

I was given these last year after they had flowered and was disappointed this year that nothing seemed to be happening flower-wise. I went away last weekend and when I came back this week I was greeted by this glorious mass of red. So pretty and well worth the wait!
Please can somebody remind me what they are called! I've been calling them day lilies, but I don't think that's right. The leaves are 12-18 in chess long and are grass like blades.

Went to the dentist today and was pleased to find that things were not as bad as I had first feared. Crowning a tooth at NHS rates seems to cost less than I have paid in the past. Still hate paying to be made to feel so miserable.
