Female Great Spotted Woodpecker

Knowing I wasn't aiming to go anywhere in particular and hoping to make some more steps in "squirrel taming" I spent quite a lot of time looking out of the window.  To ensure I "exposed some electrons" to get a blip I took shots out of the window at birds on the feeders.

This female Great Spotted Woodpecker visited and unusually didn't fly when I moved.   As a result I got quite a few shots, just as well as I never managed to see the squirrel let alone get out in the garden with it.
