In a sea of mud

Stilts, strolling together.  I believe they a re black-necked stilts, although their necks look distinctly white to me so maybe not.
I'm happy that it's now cool enough to ride my bike at the baylands again.  I don't really have a bird-watchers lens, but if I did I probably wouldn't carry it on my bike, anyway.  I find if I sit quietly for a while they get quite close, until something startles them.
