Storm chasing

We have just had the most massive storm blow through.  I had taken the hounds down to Hams beach to give them a good run and went over to Swansea to catch some of the clouds that were building up.  There was flashes of lightning and rumbles of thunder.  I moved up to what I call Pelican Island for this shot and got the wider lens out to capture this massive shelf cloud.  It was moving so fast that it is blurred here.  It then bucketed down and it was like being in a washing machine driving home what with the rain and lightning.  I am glad to say we all made it home safely.  Phew!

PS  Poppy did well on the visit to the nursing home today, there is hope for her yet.
