Another day of cutting trees

The main job today was to help with the cutting of the trees. They had grown so high it was difficult to get to any fruit, if there was any, so the height had to be reduced.
By the time we finished the lawn was covered with a huge load of branches which will have to be removed to the tip quite soon.
In between I managed to use up some parsnips and made some apple and parsnip soup - didn't really like it I am afraid so won't do it again.
Rest time now for Geoff while he sorts out the itinery for our travel down to London prior to our next break to Sri Lanka and listens to the football on the radio.
