Light Reading

It has been a strange Saturday. 

I worked in the morning - the office job. The Boss does a lot of surgeries for constituents where they can just turn up without an appointment and bend his ear. Something went wrong in the Diary Management Department, and he ended up double booked for his 3 surgeries this morning.

So, I was there instead. It was quiet and I'd had the foresight to take some reading material with me.

In the afternoon I got back on my bike, cycled to the park and did my 30 minutes jog/walk session. 55 minutes of brisk exercise in the fresh air. Great.

The shock of the day has been the news of BBC Scotland inviting Steve Bannon to speak at a conference in Edinburgh next month. The BBC has become dangerous.

The First Minister was due to attend and give a welcome speech, not knowing about Bannon being on the speaker list. She pulled out today when she found out. 

According to the BBC's email to her attempting to justify themselves, he is

"a powerful and influential figure...promoting an anti-elite movement.”
