burnt bridge?
Very productive Saturday. I spent a few hours this morning sorting out the software for my radio project. It's all working now. I just ordered a replacement speaker and some other bits and bobs. Next, I need to figure out how to fit all the new stuff into the old radio. Also need to think if I want to have a number of radio stations accessible with the hardware switches.
In the afternoon Max and I went for a walk from Loanhead to Roslin. It was somewhat overcast which helped with the fungi photography (see extra) but the autumn colours weren't as spectacular as they could have been. I've been walking through the glen regularly during the last couple of decades. Today, was the first time I noticed this old bridge head. There must have been a chain bridge across the Esk. Presumably, this was part of the extended gardens of Hawthornden Castle. Roslin Glen is just stunningly beautiful. It is also nicely wild. Walking there involves climbing over some fallen trees and along some slippery slopes.
More pictures, as always, on flickr.
