...Sally Field at the Southbanks’s literature festival.

Such a shy and diminutive character, she was so engaging and open about her life, and funny and warm it was a real insight into an incredibly famous but ‘ordinary’ woman.

She has written a memoir which promises to be a tough but rewarding read; we left clutching our signed editions with an urge to find the Flying Nun on Youtube - not a show that made it to the UK (in my memory anyway).
