Leithen, Hannay, McCunn and the rest.

John Buchan was a prolific writer - as well as being a very eminent public figure, Member of Parliament, Governor-General of Canada, etc. He was of his time - and wildly non-PC in the terms we would think of today. But he was one great yarn-spinner.

What are my favourite bits? Maybe the pursuit of Hannay by Medina in the Four Hostages, or the whole comic-drama of John McNab, or the hiding of Mr Craw in the fastnesses of Galloway, or... oh, I don't know. They have been books to return to through the years.....
