Preparing for the siege.

Young Talpa III is having trouble with his neighbour, Baron McGrasp of McGrasp, and has decided to lay siege to his castle and to lay waste his lands. In preparation for the forthcoming winter campaign I have been lending the young warrior a hand to build this mighty siege engine. It is based on Leonardo Da Vinci's plan for a ballista and is designed to hurl great rocks and deceased livestock into the castle of the foe.

We have done most of the construction work and this morning we managed to source a a pestilential calf. Once the rigging is complete we will be ready for action. Be afraid Baron McGrasp, be very afraid!
