Never too early

Christmas meatballs on the go today.
For Sunday dinner we had very well done pork shoulder and a very large chicken.
After we had cleaned and tidied up, dishwasher on, Marlane got the bones, skin and bits into the pressure cooker, along with 3 other carcasses out of the freezer. There's another 3 or 4 in the freezer.
We save them up through the year for Marlane's famous Christmas Meatball Soup.
The recipe comes from her fathers Dutch family (his name was Peter Hendrikus Hermann Zegveld), he was given the recipe and he has handed it down. I think Marlane is the only one in the family that follows it religiously now, as it is written.
She makes enough soup to fill two LARGE pots plus 100 meatballs made of white chicken meat, ginger, garlic, onion, sausage meat (but not necessarily in that order :-)
She needs so much because we have friends and some family over on the 23rd December, another load of family on the 24th and then as a starter for our immediate family on Christmas day.
In the blip there are 56 meatballs so only another 44 to make, at least.

I have to say that the soup itself is a huge favourite of everyones, it is very delicious but no, I cannot publish the recipe or I will be used to plug holes in the dikes of the Nederlands!

As you can imagine, Boxing day is generally a day of rest in our house, Phew.
