Inside Abbotsford
A very late night of food, wine and catching up so it was a late breakfast then round Abbotsford House for a tour.
Sir Walter Scott was something of a magpie in collecting and acquiring things so the house has lots of interesting objects. One thing I spotted was the upside down walrus skull (extra) - they didn’t know what it was so hung it that way thinking they might be antlers!
A lovely walk round the grounds and along the River Tweed, glorious autumn colours.
All dressed up for the birthday dinner - kilts & tartan trews for the lads, posh frocks and bling for the ladies. We had a fabulous night: love & laughter with old friends.
