Town Gardens (Saturday 20th October 2018)
There was a heavy mist over the Marden valley clearly visible from the window on this Saturday morning, but it had all burnt off by the time I was able to go down there on the way to the shops.
I came back via the Town Gardens and was struck by the colourlessness of the lavender. I imagine that this is a product of autumn as I think they were the normal colour earlier on in the year. I did produce a black and white version, but then realised that it wouldn't demonstrate the effect that had inspired the composition in the first place.
On a camera card today I found some pictures of Smokey I'd forgotten I'd taken while he was on next door's garage roof. I processed them and added one as my blip for 6 September, replacing the screenshot I'd used at the time.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Pink Floyd - Apples And Oranges (recorded 20 October 1967, De Lane lea Studios)
The last single released with Syd Barrett, recorded on this day in 1967. I bought this at the time and it has since turned up on various compilations I've bought, most recently in this stereo remix from 2010 included on The Early Years 1965-1967 Cambridge St/ation.
"It's a happy song, and it's got a touch of Christmas. It's about a girl who I saw just walking round town, in Richmond." — Syd Barrett
