On the beach

Today we woke for the first time to completely clear skies and very little breeze.  Our friends decided to hire a car for the day and explore the island but Mr MC  and I preferred to stay put.  The fine weather meant that we could venture onto the beach which is just a few steps from our rooms.  I'm gradually getting used to the black volcanic sand, which really does sparkle when the sun catches it.  I wasn't brave enough to go into the Atlantic sea though, unlike Mr MC, pictured here returning from his first swim of the day.
