My Best Efforts - Year 3

Sibsey Trader Windmill.....

..............A very bright but extremely windy day. I could find nothing particularly blippable nearby so decided to go a bit further afield so headed towards Boston (Lincs) and wandered off on some of the side roads. I suddenly saw some windmill sails in the distance so changed direction and came across this mill which, I am ashamed to say, I didn't know existed! (slap wrist, Alma !!). This windmill was built in 1877 to replace an earlier post mill. In it's day it was the "Rolls Royce" of windmills, being one of the very last to be built in Lincolnshire. It has been described as one of the finest in the County, with it's slender tower and elaborate wrought iron balcony. There is an award winning Country Tea Room
- so treated myself to coffee and a piece of orange fruit cake -
very nice too!! So home again by about 15.45.

Weather as I have already said extremely windy but very bright and sunny. At least the wind will help to dry up all the soaking wet land.
