Water Pipe Ban Pending...

It was another wet day, too wet even for me to go and play in the hills.
I ended up in Manchester University Museum. I haven't been here since I was a boy.

An amazing place, open on a Sunday and still....FREE!

Apart from everything that was going on, I was amazed by this beautiful Stairway.

It was designed by Alfred Waterhouse, who was also responsible for The John Rylands Library, Manchester Town hall and Strangeways Prison....

(Just in case you are interested - Alfred Waterhouse was a British architect, particularly associated with the Victorian Gothic Revival architecture. Born: July 19, 1830, Liverpool. Died: August 22, 1905)

Manchester has so much to offer even if it is "The Rainy City"
