Amazing Day
I've been playing catch up all morning - back blips and the like. And all because of this one day.
This was taken right by the newest garden bed at OGH, which we have christened Dianne's Garden in honour of the late Dianne Cordes, founder member, Patron, Past-President and life member of the Friends of Old Government House. The dedication took place in the morning, and in the afternoon we had a fund raising event - Tours and Tea at Old Government House. We provided a Devonshire Tea and Guided tours for $10 a head, and catered for about 130 visitors. It was absolutely the most perfect day. The weather was gorgeous; we had no complaints, and all our visiters had a wonderful time.
Apart from the small issue of utter exhaustion, it was a fantastic day. I'm hardly a spring chicken, but many of my co-volunteers are a good deal older than I am. They are an amazing bunch of people.
