Terracotta

And so, like the Emperor Qin himself, we had set out in our chariot (well, it's a Toyota Auris...) to see wonders. There was actually a pleasing symmetry in moving from the Anthony Gormley statues to the Terracotta Warriors - two artworks that feature a large number of industrially-produced human figures and function, in part at least, through repetition. Even better when there was a Full English in between. Afterwards we strolled down to the Docks for a cup of tea at the Tate and a look at the Op Art Exhibition. More repetition - Mark E. Smith would have been very pleased...
