Rose.

Back on the 1st I posted a shot of what I entitled "The last rose of summer?"  I was wrong! since then this and two other buds have appeared.  I suppose with the onset of the colder weather they won't last long but a welcome sight what ever.

The main occupation of the day has been seasonal.  The "woodland garden" is thick and I mean thick with leaves,  At places  the leaves were 15 cm (6").  So the first job was to find the path in the sea of red and yellow acer leaves.
