Really not fun

It has been poor weather for most of the days since neighbours started constructing this large shed. With gritty determination to get it up before the winter the work continues, but progress seems to be one step forward, two steps back.

The sea was fairly splashing over the road crossing the Barriers into town this morning. Not much work to do, luckily, and my hair appointment was cancelled as C had to leave early to be able to get home to Shapinsay. Lots of disruption to ferries.

Tonight the Barriers are closed.
