Illuminating

The building has a large outdoor area largely in the shadows of the towers above. Some big chunky wooden furniture is laid out but it's almost always in shade and darkness, and looking uninviting. Today the sun was bright and there was a sliver of light filtering down and illuminating this foliage, so with my friend Milly we perched and munched.

In the evening a delicious Keralan feast with my colleague Kiran and his wife Shandi. They met when he was working as a vet at a remote wildlife sanctuary in his birth nation of India and she was visiting from France during her own vet training. It's a romantic story and they're a great couple. It was about 11.45pm before we realised the time and I jumped on my bike home, stuffed to bursting with paneer.
