More Floods

Today is Maureen's birthday, so this afternoon we went over to have a celebratory lunch. The drive to Warwick involved going through a fairly deep flood by the racecourse. We went to The Art Kitchen which is a Thai Restaurant. I had a Thai Green Curry which was excellent and very spicy, washed down with a Thai beer.

This morning I took Dylan over to Ann Hathaway's Cottage in Shottery as part of his walk. Ann had said that the road was flooded and she was not wrong. This quad bike was the only vehicle who dared to cross the flood, and that was after he sat for a while calculating the odds; many cars approached and just turned round to go another way. Even pedestrian access to the house was not possible from this side of the water.
