In The Loft
Today we decided to organise and insulate the loft space. On Friday a friend had cut some MDF to size, so I made some shelves from it in the loft today. That allowed us to store a lot of stuff above the insulation. We then removed a lot of empty boxes we were keeping "just in case" and then there as all sorts of stuff that was in the loft rather than having been sorted.
My old Commodore 64 and various bits were up there, along with some of my better-half's old teaching stuff.
I also found a box of Practical Photographer (or Practical Porongrapher as my mate at University use to call it) in the loft. I had a cheap deal on a year's subscription but I moved to the US so they arrived at my parents where they stayed and I've never got round to reading them. Basically they can be divided into three elements now:
1) Photographic technique and some nice pictures to look at - still valid and useful.
2) Hilariously antiquated but then new camera kit - interesting but obsolete.
3) Very dodgy "glamour" photography which I could never convince my self was anything other than soft-porn.....!
Anyhow the loft is now clean, insulated to at least 10 cm all over, to at least 30 cm in more than 95% of the space and to at lest 50 cm in about 80% of the space. The stuff in the loft is now neat and easily accessible. Job done and now it's time for tea!
