Whooper Swans (Cygnus Cygnus)

As the rain stayed off this afternoon, even if the wind was blowing a hoolie, MaggieD and I paid a visit to Bothkennar Ponds. It was worth the effort and the muddy boots/paws. About 50 Whoopers and numerous varieties of duck were feeding contentedly on the water along with the usual gulls and coots.
