Bus (and Boat!) Challenge No 153!

Kennet and Avon Canal, Bathampton

Into Bath and to Pulteney Bridge where I met up with my friend K, to take the tourist boat under the bridge and up the River Avon to Bathampton. A lovely peaceful trip, sailing out of the city and into the countryside full of autumn colours.

At Bathampton Weir we left the boat and walked to The George pub on the Kennet and Avon Canal for a healthy lunch of triple cooked chips, before walking the three miles back into Bath along the canal path. On a beautiful sunny afternoon, the canal was busy with both walkers and boaters. A lovely day to play at being tourists!
