Restoring Forest

This is a piece of land was given to us at the end of last year by our local Bishop where we invite people to come and learn about trees and forestry. It shows people how to plant trees and what can be achieved in a little time.
The whole area is about 180 acres. Here we replaced some mature trees that have been cut down.
In this area we replaced pine with pine, but we have also sown Eucalyptus and a mix of other Native Trees with a range of fruit tree seedlings produced on the farm. Mango, Citrus, Apples, Peaches ....

These trees were sown in February and on average are now up to 600mm tall
