A beautiful day today - unpacked the bird food order ready for the winter. Bought one of these to see if I can persuade the squirrels not to eat through any more of my seed feeders. However, I am not sure how it works - do the squirrels lift the lid and get what is inside? We'll have to see.

Spent an hour in the hide trying to get some close-ups of the long- tailed tits but the nimble little things eluded me today.

The boy pheasants were fighting again - this time in the beet field. Not sure if they actually made contact but it got very close to it. More shots here
