Mutant Mouse Moggy-Toy!

On our outing to Beverley yesterday, the first shop we saw was a cat charity shop. I decided I wanted to have a look in there, and we bought this cat toy for Minstrel. 

The shop was run by a very nice lady who has four cats of her own - all rescues, of course. I always say Minstrel was a rescue cat although he didn't come from a rescue charity. 

The people who found him and his siblings in a bin-bag on the common were the owners of a riding stables. As animal lovers, they cared for the kittens themselves. They fed them, socialised them, got them litter-trained and saw that they were inoculated before finding good homes for them. 

Before living with us Minstrel lived with his siblings in a cosy stable which they shared with a nest of swallows! They also regularly saw horses too of course!

When we gave him his toy he went crazy, shaking it (it rattles!), throwing it around and chasing after it! I think it looks a bit freaky, and quite appropriate for this Halloween time of year!
