Salmon River

Love this campground on the Salmon....Wagonhammer RV Park. First extra shows our little Haute Flasche next to LBS's behemoth she has named the Loony Bin.....insane to travel around in that huge thing. The second extra shows us up at dawn and on the river. Morning temps are just below freezing, but the day warms to 60 by the afternoon. We are all rugged up in the boat but we don't feel the cold at all once we started catching fish. That's me with my first fish of the day held by Dan the Man. All tolled, we caught (and released) about 16 cutthroat, one brown and one big bull trout. No Steelheads this day. We saw a magnificent 6-point bull elk crash through the brush and swim across the river right in front of us. No thought of a camera while watching this magnificent creature make his way up the steep bank. Wow! The last extra is relaxing in LBS's RV....ours is a bit cozy for the 5 of us....and that's the way I like it. :-))
