A very...

...Autumnal walk to the station this morning. Lovely clear blue skies and plenty of autumn colour.

The journey home some 12 hours later not as inspiring. Had an evening meeting but managed to head for 21h35 train just for Scotrail to cancel that. Next direct option was 22h33 getting me in my door at 23h45. Opted to jump on 21h30 Glasgow service with a change at Croy.

For once this lottery worked out...the Glasgow service ended up leaving Waverley 10 minutes late and lost more minutes on the journey across...this however ate into a 20 minute wait at Croy making it only about five minutes hanging about that drafty station. This service was bang on time and so I walked through my door at 23h05.

Result.
