Cambridge Soc for Application of Research talk by Dr Hannah Fry (front row, right) about 'living in the age of social media, algorithms and automation' with some timely asides pricking the AI bubble - it might be book promotion, but it is very entertaining and well worth hearing.  Hannah Fry was an excellent lecturer - what one would expect from a professor but not necessarily from a "telly mathematician" who I had assumed might work from autocues.  I learnt more from this than from reading a number of articles.  Theatre filled to capacity - the CSAR must be well pleased after the success of its previous lecture.
