Smart Staircase
Sadly, Becky sets off home to Boston tomorrow, via an overnight stay with CJ and her family in London. So today we spent the morning together in Leeds. First stop was Up and Running to pick up another safety vest then we called in at the bank before being blown around the corner for a coffee and pastry in La Bottega Milanese, busy with lots of power dressed folks on their laptops and conducting business meetings. Fortified, we visited PC World for an external hard drive on which to store all my photos, presently jamming up the working of my laptop! Then it was over to the Trinity Centre where we treated ourselves to some retail therapy in Seasalt. My blip is of the rather fine staircase up to the toilets in the Centre!
Jenny had recommended Bundobust for lunch and we arrived just after it had opened. Within ten minutes of us sitting down it was heaving with folks, obviously a popular lunchtime venue. Becky and I decided on the 2 person combo and it was indeed delicious, vegetarian Indian food in several pots. Then it was back on the train and a walk home before chilling out for a couple of hours. Pete and Jen arrived after work with takeaway dinners, Cartmel sticky toffee pudding and Divine chocolate mints - just what we needed, no one having to cook and lots of vegging in front of the wood burning stove for the remainder of the evening. The house is going to seem very quiet tomorrow night.....
