This wonderful tree is an algarrobo......a Carrob tree....
.and has its own local name,..
..Algarrobo Foia Brell de Alfaz del Pi........
It is thought to be 800 years old, 8 metres wide, and with a canopy of 12 metres
This local ancient tree is being entered for the European Tree of the Year 2019 competition........
