all the fun of the fair

Been rather hectic these last few days.
Thursday night was the Leicester Mercury Executive of the year awards, most boring night ever except for the guest speaker BJ Cunningham, he was hilarious
Friday night I did Bowls England Awards, I`ve done a few of these and they are good fun, especially towards the end when you have several inebriated pensioners doing Karaoke with the band..
Last night was a charity dinner for the Harley Staples Foundation. He was a young boy who died a few years ago from cancer, his parents set up the foundation to help other parents who had lost children through cancer and it has grown enormously. The bar was relentless, from 8 onwards, we never stopped. I was lucky and finished at midnight, heaven knows what time the others left.
The weather has been horrendous. This is the annual Tin Hat Fair which comes to Hinckley, usually it`s buzzing, but precipitation of biblical proportions but a damper on the proceedings. Only the hardy (or foolish) ventured out
