Rodents rule

Fred, Catherine and I spotted this still life under a bridge at Crystal Palace. We thought it might make a good blip.

We had a really fun afternoon in the pub with Si and Lindz. The occasion was the official handing over of Jemima - the car that a group of us have bought for the newly weds, complete with a year's tax and MOT. Her previous owner is a mutual friend who is heading over to live in Hong Kong in spring next year.

After the meal - a roast and "adults only" trifle (the caution raised a few eyebrows, but it's nothing more exciting than that it contained some alcohol) - we had a cuppa, then I leafletted a couple of hundred homes for the Feast events this coming weekend. I'm becoming a dab hand at letterbox techniques. I admire the skill of a postal worker - it's tough locating some of those letterboxes let alone slipping the post into the home in one piece, with draught excluders, the sometimes tiny slots, the double flaps and the Jack Russells. I have many more houses to deliver to and I'm set to jump up and down enthusiastically in front of commuters alighting the homeward-bound trains later in the week. Luckily, because Feast is a lovely event that's free to attend, people don't mind the leafletters. I even have folk walking past and then reversing to pick one up when they realise it's Feast. Yay!
