Peaceful Sunday.
Finally some sunshine. Reluctantly decided not to go to a Christmas craft fair - can't afford to buy anything at the moment and looking at stalls is not going to be very fun with a toddler in tow + there's loads to do at home - so we walked up to the garden centre for D to have a run about and us a coffee. We pass the local church en route and I've been being to blip this angel for ages - I've always liked her, and today I particularly liked the autumn leaves behind her. I have looked at the grave before, but can't remember the details to recount them now.
The garden centre had Christmas trees already and D had lots of fun running up and down the lines. The sandpit is now closed but the little wooden hut next to it was still there and with dry sand inside - D was very happy and no other children to have to share it with either!
After our morning stroll D took a nap and his Dad and I did something we've never done before (having been flat dwellers all our adult lives) - we swept up leaves. One of the trees in the front garden - a ginko - has shed a lot of yellow leaves, but there were other huge brown leaves that had clearly come in from a long way a way - they didn't belong to any tree in the vicinity - it's been very windy.
Glad we spent time outside as it's forecast to be wet again tomorrow :(
