I’ve phoned the undertakers today to see if flowers are welcome. They are not but they would like donations to the Salisbury Hospice where he spent his last days.

I cried having spoken to the undertaker.

My daughter was taken ill at work today and her company sent her home in a taxi. On calling her doctor she was advised to go to A&E. So I took her and her boyfriend. Her throat had swollen and she was having trouble breathing so she’s had a blood test, an ECG and an x-ray. They couldn’t find anything so she’s been referred to a specialist. As all the ladies in my family have or had thyroid problems that could be the reason. We will have to wait and see. She’s now tucked up in bed and won’t be going to work tomorrow.
