A Mini Diary

Mixing it up

Today was 'Stir-up Sunday', an informal term used by the Anglican church to describe the Sunday before Advent. Traditionally, preparations for the Christmas pudding would start on this day with everyone in the family taking a turn at stirring it whilst making a wish. Although it's not a Scottish tradition it seemed as good an excuse as any to make a start on our own!

"The best men in all ages keep classic traditions alive."
(George Santayana)
